Tour starts 10:30am departing Hobart tourist information centre (corner of Davey and Murray Street), giving you plenty of time to enjoy a hearty breakfast/brunch at one of Hobart's many cafes/restaurants. Scenic half hour drive to learn the layered history of Hobart and Tasmania. Enjoy the Derwent River and local country side. Visit Bonorong, feed & pat kangaroos, Tasmanian devil feeding and wombats. Spend an hour learning about native wildlife. Journey back to Hobart for 1 hour lunch layover by the waterfront. bring your own lunch or buy from the waterfront options. Depart Information & Travel Centre at 2pm and enjoy short drive to Mt. Wellington via beautiful South Hobart and Fern Tree.View Hobart from the summit overhanging lookouts and 1,272m pinnacle point. Rug up, it get cold on the top. Learn about the mountains past, in geologic & cultural terms. Spot endemic birds and learn of the harsh alpine environment. Stretch your legs and explore the 'Springs" the site of the former springs hotel under the famous Organ Pipes. Grab a coffee if you wish from newly opened Lost Freight cafe. Take short forest walk with guide to explore native plants and lookout. To finish the day we visit Australia's oldest brewery, Cascade. Enjoy a beer or wander in the beautiful Cascade gardens. We arrive back at the Hobart waterfront at approx. 4:30pm. Er can even drop you off along the way if you need.
